Frequently asked questions
What is a template name generator?
It creates clear, memorable names for templates — documents, spreadsheets, presentations, designs and more — in styles like descriptive, brandable, keyword-led and versioned. TemplateTonic runs entirely in your browser.
Is TemplateTonic free?
Yes, completely free with no signup, no account and no usage limits.
Does TemplateTonic store my names?
No. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript; nothing is sent to a server, stored, or tracked.
Can I trademark a generated name?
A generator cannot grant trademark rights. Before publishing a template under a generated name, search trademark databases and check that no existing product uses it. This tool offers no legal advice.
What naming styles are available?
Four: descriptive (Swift Budget Planner Template), brandable (Budgetly), keyword-led (Invoice Template for Realtors) and versioned (Meal Plan Template Pro). You can mix styles in one batch.
How does the randomness work?
TemplateTonic uses the browser's crypto.getRandomValues() to combine adjectives, subjects, audiences and edition markers.
Which template categories are supported?
Document, spreadsheet, presentation, design, email, planner and code templates — or enter your own keyword for anything else.
Can I sell templates with generated names?
The names this tool produces are free for you to use, but do your own trademark and availability checks before selling under any name.
